Consultation has concluded

North Saanich, Central Saanich, and the Town of Sidney are working together to create the first Accessibility BC Act accessibility plan, and we want to hear from you!

Why we're doing it

  • To learn about the experiences, needs and priorities of community members with disabilities
  • To identify common barriers to accessibility on the Saanich Peninsula
  • To create a roadmap to accessibility across the Saanich Peninsula
  • To invite you to share your feedback with us

What is meant by accessibility?

Accessibility is a continuous practice. In short, accessibility is when anyone can participate in daily life (work, play, activities) fully, equally, and without barriers.

We want to hear your thoughts

  • What does an accessible community mean to you?
  • What are your top three accessibility concerns with your community/municipality]?
  • Can you think of an experience you’ve had in your community where accessibility was considered?
  • Have you had an experience where accessibility wasn’t considered?
  • How would you like to see that experience improved?
