About the Plan
The community has
expressed a desire for increased active transportation infrastructure to:

support walking, cycling and transit use
·
improve road safety for pedestrians and cyclists
·
achieve our Climate Leadership Plan goals (transportation is the primary
contributor of greenhouse gas emissions in our community)
Active
transportation has many advantages—primarily improved health, environmental and
social benefits.
The Active
Transportation Plan will provide a course of action that reflects the
community’s priorities and available resources. It will outline strategies,
recommend infrastructure, policies and education to help enable and encourage
active transportation as preferred modes of transportation.
About the Survey
The survey will help to identify issues, opportunities, and community priorities such as routes to schools or recreational facilities, connections between trails and on-street facilities, traffic safety, and building upon the District's existing cycling facilities.
It will be online until February 29, 2020, and takes approx 10-15 minutes to complete. Please share this survey with others – we want to hear from you!
